

Petrol Injector Cleaning


Our workshop also have the ability to clean and test most petrol injectors using the world renowned ASNU cleaner and testing machine.
Apart from the injector faults listed below that can cause problems we also service injectors for race performance cars to help get all available horse power.
Starting Problems... Difficult to start, hot or cold or will not start at all.
Poor Fuel Economy... Vehicle has good performance, but excessive fuel consumption.
Excessive Exhaust Emissions... MOT failure on exhaust emissions, no adjustment available. Lambda or Catalyst exhaust failure.
Idling Problems... Erratic and un-
Lacking Performance... Lack of power, flat spots, poor throttle response, car not performing like it should or use to.
Poor Derivability The car hesitates, ‘pinks’ under load, erratic performance and throttle response.
ECU Error Warning Codes... Error code number shows fault with Lambda or Air/Fuel mixture and checks show no fault
Faulty Petrol Injectors
Leaking Injector Valves will cause: Wetting of the manifold walls, that can cause Starting problems, Bore Wash, Lacquering of the Lambda Sensor & Clogging or Failure of the Catalyst Exhaust .
Poor Fuel Distribution & Atomisation will cause: Excessive Exhaust Emissions, Poor Fuel Economy, Idling Problems, Lack of Power, Poor Drive ability, Gumming or Sticking of the Inlet Valves, Lacquering of the Lambda Sensor & Clogging or Failure of the Catalyst Exhaust.

Typical Top Feed Petrol Injector
Fuel volume fired from each injector is measured before and after cleaning.
The cleaning process is carried out until all flow rates are equal, spray pattern is uniform and no droplets are formed in the switched off position.
